The Socialist Party reacted for the first time, through Minister Elisa Spiropali, denying rumors that it is in secret negotiations with groups within the parliamentary opposition.

After some news published in the media, Spiropali said that the SP did not even negotiate for the parliamentary commissions or the electoral reform.

The full Spiropal reaction:

The Socialist Party has no reason to secretly negotiate with the parliamentary opposition. The media conjectures regarding a negotiation according to some to calm the destruction of the alley of despair or according to some others to kill the suicidal Lul are without any basis.

Specifically:

1. We have never prevented the establishment of investigative commissions, but based on the guidelines of the Constitutional Court, we have refused to vote for pseudo-commissions in violation of the Constitution. Any request for an investigative commission within the constitutional framework is welcome.

2. As for the Electoral Reform Commission, our opinion is public and has been expressed for some time by the Prime Minister himself. The essence is quite simple: a Bipartisan Commission with many Partisans where each one will extract a reform according to their own appetite, we have no way of lying to ourselves that it can be done.

So even if we wanted to negotiate something with the alley of despair, we would not be able to find what it could be, while we go to the Parliament to vote laws, while the oppositions to debate them with us. When the oppositions don't want to debate, they hide, we vote and continue other work. That's all and despite the great regret for the degradation of the oppositions, we have no chance to help either those who scream from insomnia or those who talk in their sleep.
