Meeting of the EU-Albania Stabilization-Association Parliamentary Committee

The second day of the 18th Stabilization-Association meeting will take place today in Tirana.

In the focus of these meetings, both delegations will discuss and share opinions on topics such as: the rule of law, the fight against crime and corruption, media freedom and elections, economic development and tourism, as well as good neighborly relations and regional cooperation.

With the entry into force of the Stabilization-Association Agreement (SAA), the political dialogue between Albania and the EU takes place within the Stabilization-Association Council (SAA) and other joint structures (committees and subcommittees).

The Stabilization Association Council meets once a year to conduct an overall assessment of the implementation of the SAA and examines any significant issues arising in its implementation.

Yesterday (October 29) the first Stabilization-Association meeting between the Albanian and European parliaments was held, which was co-chaired by Toni Gogu, Chairman of the Albanian Parliament delegation and Marco Tarquinio, Chairman of the European Parliament delegation. .
