The election of the new chairman of the Democratic Party has divided the DP of the stamp even more!

At a time when the presidency has decided to call a meeting of the National Council today, 17 DP deputies have warned that they will not participate, for the verification of the list of council members and the list of voters who will vote for the head new of the democrats.

The General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, said yesterday (June 19) that the meeting that is expected to be held today by the National Council of the Democratic Party is illegitimate and unacceptable because the members of the presidency who announced it acted in opposition with the charter violating his powers as General Secretary of the party.

According to Bardhi, there is no reason to act hastily to elect the new chairman of the party. He said that the actions taken recently show that they are acting for the personal interest of some individuals, meaning Lulzim Basha, who has recently returned to meetings with the democratic youth, hinting that he plans to run for the head of the party.

DP has so far determined the 12 criteria that must be met by the candidates for the July 29 elections, related to political engagement in the party, moral integrity and organizational skills.
