The Socialist Party has closed the campaign in Tirana today. Prime Minister Edi Rama together with Mayor Erion Veliaj were received with ovations by socialist sympathizers in the Olympic Park.

Rama started his speech with the statement of the President of Poland about "Tirana completely transformed in 4 years".

According to the prime minister, this campaign was simpler than the others, because according to him, the work spoke for itself.

"I am glad that in this campaign, we have not had an easier time, but we have had a meaningful overview of the work wherever we have gone, the tangible changes and the very new opportunities that have been created have helped us so that words are not as they were in the beginning, but be based on the reality of everyday life. It's starting to become more and more a life where people beyond hardship see hope, I'm glad that a decade of effort, coupled with the dizzying surprises that have come before us, has coincided with this moment, that today we entered the 1-year cycle of the highest historical salary increase and we have entered the process of fulfilling an ambition that has been our internal torture to make Albania where salaries are at the highest level in the region, and the average salary will reach 900 euros in April next.

Without bringing the income per capita to 10,000 euros, we do not call our task completed. The interaction of the government with the municipality of Tirana is not a matter of financing projects, but interaction between forces that are united by the same vision, that interact with the awareness of the same mission and go forward together to realize the same goals, so that it that is invested returns to well-being and desire to live in the city", said Rama.

He called Tirana the biggest tourist attraction in the country.

"Today Tirana is the biggest tourist attraction, which means more economy, more income, the number of hotels that have been built is impressive, but there is a very important element. The biggest attraction of tourists in Tirana is not the hotels, but the thousands of apartments that today serve to host tourists and the families that own those apartments earn income that they never imagined. This figure is still not part of the formalized economy because we did not want to tease this income at this delicate stage.

They have no fiscal burden because we need to turn Albania into a tourist destination on all four sides and Tirana is the center of gravity. What I want to add is the fact that Tirana today is no longer the Tirana that I ran, it is much bigger. It is no longer a city surrounded by municipalities in its old line, don't forget that Tirana ended at Astiri, at Kinostudio, even here where we are. Today Tirana extends to Ndroq, Zallbastar, up to Dajt and the potentials are still all to be discovered and made available for an economic growth that will be much greater both for those who live in center, whether for us residents who live in the suburbs. This capital is no longer what it once was, buried in lawlessness and the dust of unprecedented chaos.emphasized Rama.
