Today marks 16 years since the Gërdec massacre, where 26 people lost their lives and more than 300 others were injured by the explosion at the weapons dismantling factory in Gërdec. The 28 defendants sent to court today have been released from prison and justice has not yet been served.

But the families of the victims still have the hope that the new justice will bring behind the bars those responsible for one of the biggest tragedies that ever happened in our country. There is light at the end of the tunnel for these families whose loved ones were taken away by that tragedy. GJKKO is investigating the case for serious charges of "corruption of high-ranking officials" and "money laundering", while the former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu has been charged.

Socialist MP Erion Braçe has published footage from the terrifying explosion that killed 26 people, while calling on justice to investigate Sali Berisha and his son Shkëlzen Berisha.

"This is how 26 men, boys, women-children in their bellies, girls, died on March 15, 2008-like today, in Gërdec!

Think yourself there, see yourself there, laborer for a ridiculous wage;
Think of yourself there, without any measure of security and without any possibility of escape;
Think of yourself there, without any opportunity to give your soul like everyone else at the end of life - they didn't even have that;

Understand that this is the most monstrous crime in democracy of political corruption, capture of the state, the decline not only of job security but of national security!

When I see political vultures make gangsters persecuted by justice, public opinion, media, I simply remember that there-in a mother's womb, a child grew that they took away the opportunity to come to life;
They took a part of your life, they didn't even let that child come to life!

Those judges who for months have been pretending to judge in that court where the raft is mocking, do they understand WHAT AWFUL CRIME IS COMMITTED IN GERDEC!

On the other hand, do they understand that everyone knows what Gerdeci was, whose business Gerdeci was, economic benefit, process from those political thieves and their children "boyn pare, lek lek lek"?!

Do the judges understand that they are not saving BAB-involved in this CRIME MUCH MORE THAN THE THEFT OF MILITARY PROPERTY, CUNIN-involved in this open CRIME and much more than defrauding the Department of Defense, in taking without a twinge of conscience of the lives of PEOPLE PRESSED AND RAPPED THERE AS WORKERS?

What about GENERAL HOXHA, who is HIDING - even though he is safe,
he understands that he has an obligation to those people who did not even give a damn, TO TESTIFY, even though the LETTERS ARE MADE FOR THE CRIMINAL IMPLICATION OF POLITICAL LEADERS, and even suppressed the military power there ?!

Be men and testify!
Be men and put the names of the criminals!
Be men and judge, face the most massive and monstrous crime in democracy, corruption!
