After the publication of the scandal at the Oncology hospital, the deputy of the Democratic Party, Arbi Agalliu, submitted a request for an urgent interpellation with the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu .

The request was filed today in the secretariat of the Assembly and is expected to take place the next day, during the plenary session.

In his letter, Agalliu clarifies that the purpose is to obtain information to understand what did not work. 

"In order to obtain information and to make transparency, in front of the Albanian citizens, to clarify the situation of the circumstances to clarify the reasons for the non-functioning of the patient protection systems and to understand what has not worked that this corrupt scheme has been active since long ago, I request an interpellation with the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu," it is written in the object of the interpellation.

The doctors employed at the state hospital "Mother Teresa" have misused their duties, not giving the citizens the necessary service in the state hospital, but directing them to private hospitals, to get the services they were looking for.

In the "Mother Teresa" hospital, the source of cobalt used for radiotherapy was also located, which was not put into operation and was outside the standards, turning into a source of danger for patients.

During the investigation, it was possible to move this source to the designated location.

In the framework of this proceeding, control was exercised in several pharmaceutical entities, where a significant amount of suspected smuggled and counterfeit goods, amounting to 10,000 euros, as well as a medical clinic, were seized.
