The Special Court postpones the preliminary hearing against Berisha to November 25.

The lawyers requested invalidity, as according to them the court had scheduled the session without respecting a 10-day deadline for their familiarization with the acts of the file.

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Jamarbër Malltezi have chosen not to appear in person and are being represented by lawyers in the courtroom.

We remind you that Sali Berisha is accused of committing the criminal offense " Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials ", carried out in cooperation, provided for by article 260 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Jamarbër Malltezi is accused of committing the crimes " Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials ", provided by article 260 and 25 of the Criminal Code, as well as "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" carried out in cooperation, provided by Article 287, second paragraph of the Criminal Code.

Fatmir Bektashi is accused of committing the criminal offenses " Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials ", provided for by Article 245 of the Criminal Code and "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" carried out in cooperation, provided for by Article 287 the second paragraph of the Criminal Code.
