"We refuse to lower our heads", Pirro Dhima's message of support
Pirro Dhima and Fredi Beleri

The Albanian weightlifter Pirro Dhima, who has represented the colors of the Greek flag during his career, has shown his support for the arrested candidate of the "Bashkë Fitomje" coalition for the municipality of Himara, Fredi Beleri.

A few hours after Beleri was left in prison by a decision of the Court of Vlora, Dhima has expressed his position on the case with a message to all his followers and the Albanian state.

He says that they refuse to bow down to decisions that harm democracy and the rule of law.

“Some of us had the hard and dark fate of growing up in fear of the consequences of free speech and under constant violation of our rights. Today, we refuse to bow to behavior that undermines democracy and undermines the rule of law. #Beleri", writes Dhima.
