Prime Minister Edi Rama continued his thanksgiving tour from Lezha after the result of May 14.

He emphasized that the abandonment of the right by its honest sympathizers is a great service for Albania and the right itself.

Rama said that by going from behind those who carry the flag of the right, they simply postpone the agony. But by abandoning them, they also help the rebirth of the right. And for the latter, he said that it is not the duty of the socialists to do it. The latter, according to him, have the duty to continue the rebirth of Albania. 

"The abandonment that happened to those others by the honest right-wingers, by those who sincerely suffer the cause of the right-wing and who do not recognize us with their eyes, is a great service for Albania and the right-wing itself. Going backwards to the abyss of those who carry the flag of the right and who should not carry that flag simply postpones the agony. By abandoning them, the rebirth of the right is also helped. But the rebirth of the right is not our duty to do, to be understood. We have the duty to continue the rebirth of Albania", said Rama.

The leading socialist sees as a separate challenge the result that is reflected in the map of Albania where 53 municipalities were won by the SP and only 7 by the opposition. For Rama, this should not be seen as a triumph of the socialists, but should be seen as a red and black map which is harmonious.

"What is the biggest challenge for us, the biggest of this whole story is that map of May 14. For the first time, that map is no longer split in two. Like a divided body where a very large division is read. For the first time that map is harmonious. I am not saying that all of Albania should become one party, far from it, but I am saying that it is a very big challenge for the opposite. If we read that map as a triumph of socialists over others, I'm telling you we're just going into the woods without an ax and coming out lost in that way of looking at this map. If we read it as the result of a very important break of a part of the right from the rotten trunk of the right and if we take that map as a challenge not to make our local government mauve as the map is to make it red and black , then that map will always be less and less divided and will always be more and more a reflection of the vote in mind. Many people in these elections, more than any other time, have acted wisely", said Rama.
