Prime Minister Edi Rama continues his so-called "thanksgiving tour" after the May 14 local elections, and today he stopped in the district of Lezha.
He held a meeting together with the Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja, the mayor Pjerin Ndreu and the young socialist councilors in Lezhë
During his speech, Rama described the victory in that area as "beyond expectations" despite all the work done in the areas of this city.
"For the sake of truth, it was one of the difficult battles and it was one of those 11 open battles, which until the end I was worried about. This is not an easy area, but a very difficult area, but I had the feeling that at least here we did what we could, not as much as we wanted. I had faith that people would appreciate it, and it did, and for the sake of truth, it was a victory that exceeded expectations. I said it will be close, but a lot of work was done in the campaign, a very good organization was made. Here we have a good organization of the SP branch and the work has paid off", said Edi Rama.
We recall that the majority candidate Pjerin Ndreu was declared the winner on May 15 with 1900 votes ahead of his political rival. As happened with the mayor, also in the Municipal Councils the SP emerged as the first force with 9 mandates in Lezhë
