Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the "Sy m'sy" column, also had a telephone conversation with the leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, where they shared details about the meeting with Albanians in Crete and Athens.
Balla revealed that two weeks after the meetings in Greece, they will return with meetings in Italy.
" We will start the first meeting in Chania, one of the largest cities in Crete, where a large Albanian community has lived for many years. In fact, for many years, 35-45 thousand Albanians have lived throughout Crete, according to official figures, who play an important role in the economic life of this island, which is a major tourist destination for Greece. Meanwhile, in Chania, 10-14 thousand Albanians once lived, who are very integrated and represented in local government bodies.
The meeting in Chania will take place in a sports palace, where many Albanians will participate, we will also meet with representatives of Albanian associations there, without any distinction of left or right because after all, this is a historic visit for them that for the first time an Albanian prime minister goes to meet them. This is on the 29th in the afternoon at 18:00. Then we will have another meeting with compatriots who live in Athens.
"Greece is second only to Italy in terms of the number of immigrants registered to vote on May 11. The Athens meeting will also be a big meeting. Two weeks later, we return to Italy to have a meeting. We have chosen a point near Milan because it is the point that unites everyone ," Balla said during the phone call with Rama.
