Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos congratulated Albania and North Macedonia for accelerating the process of receiving pre-financing funds.

The two countries become the first countries in the Western Balkans to receive pre-financing funds under the Growth Plan.

In a post on "X", Kos states that he must promote the implementation of key reforms to boost growth, improve the lives of citizens, and bring the countries closer to the EU.

"Congratulations to North Macedonia and Albania for setting the pace in the Western Balkans to receive pre-financing under the Growth Plan! This should spur the implementation of key reforms to boost growth, improve the lives of citizens and bring the countries closer to the EU," writes Marta Kos.
