Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that with integration into the European Union, Albania benefits from an amount of 1 billion euros per year, while for agriculture alone, the fund, according to the head of government, will be 300 million euros.
The Prime Minister addressed the democratic parents, stating that personal interest should come first.
"You can be a democrat parent and listen to us and say, 'These idiots still want power, but what do they want anymore?'" Rama said, adding that "the marsh owl can make you hope in vain."
Edi Rama: In the last 10 years, the EU has supported Albania in total with around 1 billion euros, the moment we become members of the EU it gives us 1 billion euros every year.
In all these years, the EU has supported Albania for Agriculture with less than 200 million euros, which was a lot for us, the moment we become members of the EU it gives us 300 million euros per year for agriculture. Pure personal interest, you can be a democratic parent and listen to us and say 'these rascals still want power, but what do they want anymore'.
But there is another calculation you have to make, you are not obliged to like me, nor Mirela, nor the earthquake, no, not because you have nothing to like at all, no one here, but you will make a simple calculation that we here, who you do not like, can get the country into the EU and no one else can.
You have to look at it from the perspective of a parent for your child, who may make you hope in vain that we can, but it doesn't do what you need, that your child who is 14 years old today and in 4 years when he goes abroad to study, you give him an EU passport, and when he receives the passport, he is no longer treated as a foreign student with different quotas and fees, he is treated as a European student.
