Rama shows three reasons why he is proud of the Socialist Party

On the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the SP, Edi Rama shared with everyone the reasons why he feels proud of the Socialist Party.

For Rama, SP is the only party in Albania that has not lost national interest as he added that he believes that thanks to it, Albania became the only country of democratic transition without a communist party.

"I wanted to share with you the reasons why I am proud of the SP:

1. Since its birth, on June 12, 32 years ago, this is the only party in Albania that has never lost national interest. I believe that thanks to her, Albania became the only democratic transition country without a communist party. Since the day of its creation, the SP stood up to take a new direction by breaking with the communist nomenclature in this hall. The SP's special sense of the national interest is in stark contrast to its rude and conflicted opponent. How many times has it been said that socialists are soft. We have raised Albania higher than ever before in the eyes of the world. Look how he falls lower and lower, who with his rudeness did more harm than good to the Albanians. Look at Kosovo and its new history, when the liberation war reached its peak. Whenever Kosovo needed Albania, we socialists have been there for him from the path of war and up to this present moment towards peace and final recognition. Albanian was also that other party that was in government 2 times before us when Albania, with the blessing of that party, broke the embargo against Serbia and became Milosevic's oil supplier. This is a historical fact.

That party persecuted the KLA militants in Tirana. Then, through the mouth of that party, it was spoken against the war of the KLA that was anathema without rest against the agreement of Rambuje, for which the international community worked and gave a great support to the SP government. We are there for Kosovo today and all day, where Kosovo has isolated itself from strategic allies, while thanks to them Kosovo has had a real opportunity to win the war with Serbia, where Serbia has lost and without any right of appeal. Our goal and that of the Prime Minister of Kosovo is the same, but we do not see the ways to achieve the goal in the same way, even more and more differently recently. To me, the Allies crash course, a silly adventure in all its futility. I am pleased that the effort to make a contribution to the dialogue and, respectively, to the resolution of the great deadlock of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority, has been very well received by our allies and partners. To those who have opposed it and without knowing the content, saying that they don't expect it and don't even want to hear about a proposal from Albania, because according to them, everyone should do it themselves in their own way. Those who speak like this still live with communism in their heads and the truth is that they are the ones who decide for themselves, but this region is not only theirs, but also ours and some others. If they still manage to play wars, while neither side nor the other opens up to each other, no war but no cross-border shooting because there is America, NATO and the allies are running out of patience,

For Rama, SP's vote by more women than men is one of the reasons why he feels proud of this party.

"This Albanian party is finally voted by more women than men. A man, the first motive to vote, has yesterday. A woman is motivated by today and tomorrow. The voice of the woman without whom the house becomes a mess. Thanks to his wife, he became a home. The more politics in this country is taken from the devotion and love of women, the better it will be for her features which are ordinary, even manly. We still have a long way to go. This is the direction. We should be very proud because if we look back from where we started, the effort to increase the participation of women in administrative and social life, we have made colossal steps".

The third reason why Rama is proud of the SP is the relationship of this political family with justice.

"The relationship of this political family with justice. This started with the imprisonment of the leader. It is then developed as a report of respect for the independence of the judiciary, but also as a report with open wounds by the judiciary used against us. Remember when justice was a tool of power and then it rose to the historic level when the party stepped into that sea. SP is the only party that has neither killed anyone, nor imprisoned anyone, nor beaten a single person for political reasons in the years it has ruled the country. No other party has been able to do it and there must be some reasons, just as against there must be a reason why we also have this differently from others".
