Although he has not yet officially announced his candidacy, Lulzim Basha seems to be doing his best to return to the head of the Democratic Party.

His supporters in the Presidency unanimously approved July 29 as the day to hold the elections for the new chairman of the party, as they are now insisting on electing the Electoral Commission without convening the National Council, thereby violating the party's Statute. 

But it seems that his opponent on July 29 has already been slapped, in order not to consider the election process as one-sided. It is for former persecuted political Gjergj Hani, who has publicly announced his candidacy for the post of head of the Democratic Party.

He made this known through a post on social networks, but also in several media appearances, where he showed the reasons for the competition.

The fact remains that crises are what bring change. Whether this is a change felt internally, that is, as an organic need of society, or a political force that is forced to admit that it has lost its way.

In the case of DP, it is definitely the loss of the road. I have always said and will continue to say that I do not feel disappointed in what has happened so far with this party and its electorate.

There was no way it could happen otherwise. PD - was born as a right-wing force only in principle, since the knowledge, awareness and will of those who climbed the hierarchy in this party were lacking, to build political symmetry between the left and the right, as a necessary condition to guarantee balances necessary for a functional democracy.

The Albanians of the early 90s came out of one of the most brutal and inhumane dictatorships, so tired, exhausted and at the same time thirsty for freedom, that they would drink anything that was sold to them as such. spirit, although they did not know what it really was. And what you sold to the Albanians as freedom, was the possibility of fleeing this country with the simple dream of filling their bellies with the bread denied for 45 consecutive years.

Parë në këtë këndvështrim, kriza që ka përfshirë PD-në, ndonëse nuk ndodhi si nevojë e brendëshme e shoqërisë, ajo sërish është sa e dobishme, po aq e domosdoshme pasi na vuri të gjithëve përballë së vërtetës së madhe që është kriza e identitetit. Krizë të cilën PD-ja e ka bartur gjithmonë në mënyrë latente gjatë rrugëtimit të saj 32 vjecar.
Koha është tirani më I madh dhe nuk amniston askënd. Përfshi këtu edhe identitetin e humbur të së vërtetës, që rreklamon me të drejtë vëndin e saj përballë mashtrimit universal që vazhdon të tërheqë zvarrë këtë vënd në rrugën pa krye të një tranzicioni pa fund.

E gjitha kjo duhet të mbarojë nëse duam që vëndi të fillojë rishtazi një rrugë normaliteti të funksionimit politik të ekuilibruar, gjë e cila do të mundësonte shpalosjen e realiteteve, vetëdijeve, e ideve që do të mundësonin hartimin e nje boshti të filozofisë politike, që gjithmonë i ka munguar kësaj PD-je që e qeverisur nga primitivizmi politik, ka kalëruar gjithmonë demagogjine e pastër dhe gjuhën e urrejtjes së verbër që i ka shërbyer e i shërben vetëm kultit të individit transformist që ka si qëllim final vetëm pushtetin në vetvehte, e jo alternativat dinamike që do të pilotonin shoqërinë shqiptare në rrugën e kombeve të ndritura, ku aspiron e meriton të jetë.

I am aware that it is not going to be an easy path, since the truth has never had such a path, but on the other hand I am of the belief that no time should be wasted in meager accounts of toil and dangers, but that each one of us should do what is possible for the truth to become an integral part of the life of this country blessed by God, and cursed by the blindness of power as an end in itself, which always forces it to beg at the crossroads of history.

All of the above are a limited part of a series of reasons that gave me the strength and courage to say; Yes. I will run for the post of political chairman of the Albanian Democratic Party.
