Rama from Davos: We are still under cyber attack from Iran
Rama at the Davos Economic Forum

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke today at the Davos forum about cyber attacks. Rama emphasized that this Iranian-sponsored attack was faced with the cooperation of Microsoft and the American FBI.

At the Davos Economic Forum, Prime Minister Rama shared his experience with the aggression that came from Iran, which according to him continues every day.

Question: Albania last summer is a concrete example of how cyber attacks can affect governments and nations. Prime Minister, we look forward to hearing from you.

Edi Rama : Never invite someone from the Balkans and set a time limit. It started with services, but we know that critical infrastructure is at risk. We are still under attack. Practically every day. It's very exhausting, scary. And somehow we saw the other side of this blessing of technology, which is the curse of technology.

According to the Prime Minister, the construction of the cyber shield requires time and, above all, a lot of funds.

Edi Rama: If you ask any prime minister in the world what he thinks about the costs, it means that he feels pain. So it's not a very good question, but I'll try to survive the pain. It's different when you invest in doing something, because people will see it and support you; It's different when you invest to prevent something from happening. People will say, what are you protecting him from, he doesn't exist.

Question: Prime Minister, water heals you best.

Edi Rama: I'm not at that point yet. Don't interrupt me. I still need to gather my thoughts.

The panelists concluded that hackers will always be one step ahead in cyber warfare, but through cooperation between governments and companies, their damage can be limited.
