Rama in "Sy mē sy": Albania ready for the EU, but any swing on May 11
Edi Rama

Like every Tuesday, Prime Minister Edi Rama answered live questions addressed on social platforms.

At the start, Rama focused on a question related to the country's integration into the EU.

"Negotiations are talks about all aspects of state organization, for all sectors, where we have to adapt the entire legislative body of the EU. It's about a quarter of a million pages that work has been underway for years, but there is still more to translate and bring to approval."

On the other hand, it is about guaranteeing a positive performance in the process. The EU does not play games or comment on FB, does not participate in elections in Albania, does not have an Albanian party flag, but has a mechanism for monitoring the progress of affairs in a country that claims to become a member. It will not know anything about the parties, but is cold and looks at the work and results.

"The fact is that Albania is becoming a country ready to join the EU," Rama said, adding that the vote on May 11 should go to the SP because these negotiations do not have time to be postponed, because according to him, if they are postponed, the door could be closed.

"Any swing on May 11 would be fatal for the country," he said.
