The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, denounced the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama at a meeting with the conservative group of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where he was accompanied by Fatmir Mediu, Vangjel Dule and Albana Vokshi.
Berisha said that Albania today is a narco-state, led by Edi Rama, who - according to him - has imprisoned the three opposition leaders to secure a fourth mandate.
Berisha further said that Albania is in a deplorable state, and that the "narco-state" is now a danger not only for neighboring countries, but for the entire continent.
Berisha then denounced the closure of the TikTok social network, saying that Rama did this to silence critical voices against him.
"Edi Rama imprisoned the three leaders of the opposition to get a fourth mandate. He imprisoned me, he imprisoned my son-in-law who took 500 meters of land from his grandparents with documents. He imprisoned Ilir Meta as a person under investigation. He imprisoned Fatmir Mediu. Edi Rama has taken 200 thousand square meters of land by the sea for himself. He channeled Albania, Albania is today a narco-state.
He met with the Albanian leader of the Sinaloa cartel at the Prime Minister's Office. Thousands of thousands of Albanians are fleeing the country. Europe has never seen a narco-dictator and finds it difficult to understand what is happening. That's why I am here, we have no other choice but to fight, we fight. The narco-state is a danger not only for our neighbors, but for the entire continent", said Berisha.
