Prime Minister Edi Rama gave an interview today to the Greek state television "ERT", commenting on some of the hot issues between the two countries.

Rama has called untrue the statement that the Greek minority in Albania is treated badly. He said that this minority is a treasure for the country and a bridge of cooperation between the two states.

"80 years have passed and Greece still has the law of war, a great archaism! We are interested in seeing it removed. The Greek minority in Albania is a treasure of our culture, of coexistence and an irreplaceable bridge to nurture the friendship between two peoples, two states and definitely between two governments, regardless of who governs in Tirana and Athens", said Rama.

The head of the Albanian government said that justice in Albania is the same for everyone when he was asked about the arrest of Fredi Beleri.

"He must answer to the law like every citizen of the Republic of Albania, there cannot be two justices. Those who blow these winds and can't wait to start a fire, there are also Albanians who use the Greek minority as a credit card. But they cannot complain that their rights are being violated, these others do it successfully", continued Rama.

Rama further said that the new judiciary today is independent and he personally, but also his government, whenever SPAK takes a case in hand, decides not to intervene. To illustrate with an example, Rama said that today SPAK is looking for his former deputy, Arben Ahmetaj.

"From the moment SPAK officially enters a process, I, my government, the party I lead, always do exactly the same thing. We refer only to sovereign justice, and we do not interfere in any way, in any way, in its work. Today, this justice is not in the first act towards the master, but this is one of the links of this created chain of hitting problems with people very close to power. Today, my former deputy is being sought, because of the will of this justice to strike without looking", said Rama further.
