Interior Minister Taulant Balla communicated this Wednesday to journalists the decisions taken in the Council of Ministers.

To begin with, Balla said that all State Police employees who move from their hometown will have their rent covered by the state.

"We will provide rent coverage for all police officers who will be relocated from their city together with their families," said the minister.

An important decision concerns the loans that police officers can receive. Balla says that all those who meet the criteria will be able to apply to e-Albania and will benefit from loans with 0% interest.

"A decision was made in the Council of Ministers: 0% interest loans for State Police employees, I want to guarantee that everyone who has created a new family, up to the age of 40, in a few days because they have to to raise the application format in e-Albania, it will be ready by September 25 at the latest, immediately apply if they meet these criteria related to age or not having another apartment. There are about 900 employees who have problems with housing, within 4 months we will treat the first 100 families, then another 300 families next year and during 2025 the entire batch of 900 families will be completed. One of the objectives I have said since the first day I took office is the proper and dignified treatment of the employees of the State Police and every soldier of the Armed Forces,

Balla also emphasized that in the ranks of the State Police there are results day after day for "self-cleansing", referring to the punishment of all officers who commit serious ethical and criminal violations.

"I have not been here since within 40 days, to say that I have achieved the goal of cleaning it completely, but I have said that I am working every day in cooperation with other law enforcement structures, I have received guarantees from the institutions that this self-cleaning process will be carried out in short time, but don't forget that it is continuous, but employees who betray the actions within the police, will be on the verge of disappearing, or those who have ties to criminal organizations will be cut off day after day. It was inherited within the State Police, a cancer was inherited that led to the loss of their lives, I believe you remember the year 2009, we have 4 martyrs today due to information leakage.

The self-cleaning of the state police is yielding results, we have had 3 employees arrested due to BKH investigations and we have a lot of investigations in process and naturally and for concerns raised in the public, where the access of police officers to certain networks with criminal elements it is a serious breach of the ethical code, without including the criminal one here. It is clear that in the media and suspicions become fait accompli, the truth is completely different, Albania has had a cyber attack and since that moment measures have been taken to increase the protective dams in any form.
