Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded to commentators regarding the development of tourism in Albania.

" We surpass Greece in tourism?? Who comes up with this nonsense!! Just go to the port of Piraeus and see how many tourists move around the islands. We won't even have them in our entire lives ," writes one commentator.

The head of government responds to this comment by saying "don't be afraid to rejoice in Albania," while also mentioning the May 11 elections, where he said it will be the year of the new governing mandate.

He also emphasized that the Socialist Party will be in power for several more years, at least until Albania joins the European Union.

"Here we are talking about growth in comparison to previous years, not about absolute numbers. We neither compare ourselves nor do we have to, because it is absurd. France has 100 million, Turkey has 55 million, Greece has 33 million tourists. Here we are talking about which country has developed more compared to the year we left behind, which has grown in relation to itself. Regardless of whether you don't like this vile government of mine, it should not prevent you from being happy for Albania. Governments come and go, but this SP will be here for a few more years, until we get Albania into the European Union, at least. But in the end, Albania remains forever and when Albania excels in a direction like this of tourism, you don't have to spare yourself a smile, Mr. Paulin (the commentator)," Rama replies to the commentator.
