A day after submitting their applications, the Central Election Commission approved the registration of three coalitions for the May 11 parliamentary elections.

The CEC approved the registration of the coalition "Democratic Party Alliance for a Greater Albania" consisting of Sali Berisha's PD, Ilir Meta's PL, and 24 other political forces. The name of the coalition appears to be a reference to Donald Trump's "MAGA".

The CEC also approved today the registration of the coalition "Right for Development" of Enkelejd Alibeaj and Dashamir Shehi and "Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet" of Adriatik Lapaj and Shabani.

According to the agreement, the Freedom Party will receive 4 MPs on secure lists, while Fatmir Mediu, Shpëtim Idrizi, Vangjel Dule and Agron Duka will each receive 1. Thus, the DP gives 8 secure mandates to its allies.

The Socialist Party has finally decided to run alone without any coalition, just like the PSD, Mundësia, Lëvizja Bashkë, and Lulzim Basha's new party.
