The Democratic Party will not have the largest coalition it has ever achieved before the elections, however, it has managed to include on a list not less than half of the parties that will participate on May 11th.
Within the time limits, about 20 minutes before the expiration of the deadline set by the CEC, the Democrats also received the last signature on the 34-page document submitted to Ilirjan Celibashi's office: that of Shpëti Idrizi.
The name of the coalition will be "Alliance for a Greater Albania", in contrast to the name "Alliance for Change" in 2021 and "Alliance for a European Albania" in 2013.
The coalition contains 26 parties and its leader will be Sali Berisha.
"The respective number of candidates that each party part of the coalition will propose will be specified at the time of filing the multi-name list of candidates, according to the ballot format determined by the CEC in these elections. The multi-name list of the coalition will include, for each party of the Coalition, the number of candidates and their ranking, based on the electoral weight and negotiations conducted by each party," states the agreement filed with the CEC.
