After Tirana, Prime Minister Edi Rama has today opened the electoral campaign of the SP for the May 14 elections in the city of Durrës. As in the capital, also in the coastal city, the meeting with the citizens ended with the planting of trees in the Volga area.

During his speech, Rama said that the city of Durrës has achieved a radical transformation and that it will return to one of the most sought-after destinations in the Mediterranean. He said that work continues for the two ports of the city, as well as for the construction of the Tirana-Durra railway and the projects undertaken by the municipality.

"The potential of Durres is extraordinary, with the massive new investments we will make, Durres will undergo a radical transformation and turn into one of the most sought-after destinations in the Mediterranean. This means that job opportunities will increase and not only that, they will have better paid jobs. There are two key ports in Durrës, we are in the process for both of these ports. With the tourist port, the base of the construction site has started to be established and the works will continue intensively. In Porto Romano we have a military size to create a NATO operational base on one side of the port. When I was coming, I was also looking at the base of the railway. With the new railway line and the new trains that will come, another important infrastructure will be added to Durrës. As if we are continuing with the work with the government of Kosovo for the railway from Durrës to Kosovo that enables another entry of goods in the entire region. There are also municipal projects for which we communicate with Ani constantly. I believe you have seen the construction site of the beach promenade. We are also working on the sand expansion project. All that fantastic space that used to be when the beach was not narrowed by new constructions will return"- said Rama.

Even today, Rama did not leave without attacking the couple Sali Berisha - Ilir Meta, considering them as shadows of the past and considering the candidate Igli Cara as their puppet.

"I want to close by asking everyone to make a very simple comparison. Imagine what impudence it takes to come here and ask for the vote of the citizens of Durrës to turn Durres back, so far back that it turns into a city where they put the two shadows of the past with a puppet they put here. I have nothing to do with the doll placed here, but Durrës needs to move on. It is impossible for Durrës to realize that it can reverse the direction and leave all these great things on the way that have already started to enter a dark corner. It is time to start planting some trees here as well. Campaigns come and go," said Rama.
