The Strasbourg court just a few minutes ago published the decision regarding the murder of Aleks Nika on January 21, 2011. "State agents committed the murder and did not solve it," the court's decision says.

For this, Alex Nika's uncle was invited to Breaking on Top News, who said that it was a decision that he was waiting for and that he wants the case to be immediately transferred to SPAK.

"It was a decision they were waiting for and it gives us hope for the final clarification of the murder of our beloved man, Alex, who was killed by the forces of the Republic Guard. We hope that the file will at least go through an in-depth and exhaustive investigation and finally bring justice. It means that those who ordered and executed the murders on the boulevard receive punishment according to the law.

You have also filed complaints with SPAK, with as much information as you have, at what stage are the investigations?

SPAK has not accepted to withdraw the file from the Tirana prosecutor's office. This seems to have operational reasons, but we have suspected that they are more political. There is no political will for the issue of January 21 to be clarified and the culprits brought to justice.

It has been over 3 months since we filed an appeal to the Supreme Court and requested that the case be transferred to SPAK for investigation. We are waiting and we hope that the Supreme Court, due to the professionalism of the criminal panel and the political immunity, will take the case to the SPAK and they are forced to investigate it from the beginning, according to the decision of Strasbourg and also according to the decision of the Supreme Court. because there are manipulations behind it. There was intimidation of judges and prosecutors.

It is difficult to separate it from crimes against humanity, because they were killed for political reasons. They were not killed, or beaten, or had a conflict with the guards, or the police, they were killed to keep power. 

Fascism kills people on the boulevard. Murders should definitely be investigated from the beginning. It is the murder of Hekuran Deda, which is without any investigative action being carried out.

You haven't put your finger on a specific person...

No, without a concrete investigation we cannot say. But Sali Berisha, the former Minister of the Interior, said that "we killed him" and the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana refused to call them with the idea that they were media statements. This is an admission of guilt, when he says "we killed them and we will kill them again if you approach the prime minister".

Have you been waiting long for today's decision? How did you make this decision?

We had a decision that we have been waiting for a long time and I said from the beginning that, we thank the court of Strasbourg. Now we need a state act that will force the prosecution, the court and politics to implement this decision made by Strasbourg. We have not asked for compensation, we have asked that the culprits go to justice.

We also have a tape, dear journalist, that we have on our property. Provided by our defense, where the killer and the orderer of the murder have been identified.

It is not clarified, because we did not trust the prosecutor's office in Tirana. Because as in other cases that have inserted trackers and become invalid for the trial. We demand that the tape be taken by SPAK.

There it is identified that Andrea Prendi gave the order after leaving the government offices. He said "shoot in the flesh" and immediately 4 people were killed there. We think it could even be a crime against humanity. They were killed for political reasons. (....) The commander of the guard cannot give orders to kill, without giving it to his commander, who is the Minister of the Interior or the Prime Minister.
