Prime Minister Edi Rama says that security in Albania is at its best, with ordinary crimes such as theft and robbery at the lowest level.

During his speech from the meeting with a group of socialists in Pogradec, Rama said that unlike Paris "where you are afraid to go out at night", tourists say that Albania is one of the safest countries.

"There is no more theft like it used to be, when you woke up in a witch's spell and found it in the thief's mouth, ordinary crime, but also organized crime. I was in Paris, Paris was not like it used to be, you are afraid to go out at night because someone will come at night, grab your bag, take your hand... In Albania foreigners say "I went out last night" and "it was fun and you didn't feel no kind of danger", Rama said, among other things.

Ordinary crime, such as robberies, physical assaults, sexual assaults in France and in many other European countries, have actually experienced an extremely large increase in recent years, and experts, although quietly, attribute this to the great wave of illegal immigrants who have landed in these countries.
