Get up today and fight for the liberation of Albania, this was the call of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to the democrats of Kavaja in a meeting he held this evening.
Berisha has made strong accusations against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama and has repeated the serious accusations against SPAK, calling it a criminal group, as he has called on the kavajas to be led today as they rose "against the most vicious dictatorship that had recognized Europe".
Part of Berisha's speech in Kavaja:
I will start this speech with a call from the heart to every citizen of Kavaja, to every Albanian citizen, to become the Kavajas of 1990. Let us stand up today as the sons, men, but also the mothers, daughters, sisters of Kavaje, against the fiercest dictatorship that Europe had known.
They faced a monster party, but they had their ideals, they had excellent family traditions, they had the nobility of the man who does not sell his values.
The truth is that the anti-communist groups of Kavaja liberated Kavaja, long before any other city in Albania.
They freed Kavaja because they were brave, because Joseph the Buddha fell to be dead and reddened the streets of this city, because you turned the stadium into a gladiator field, into an epic showdown with the cruel dictatorship.
Because you killed not only boys and men, but the truth is also mothers, sisters and daughters, you did not endure, you refused to agree with evil any longer.
You stood up, you inspired Albania, and so I tell you here today, with the great evil that has plagued Albania after 30 years, after a generation, as Ronald Reagan prophetically says, that democracy only needs a generation to disappear , to be replaced by dictatorship. And this happened in Albania.
Today again, Kavaja is the city of hope. Kavaja was not defeated in the wildest conditions in the last elections, you gave the city and the country Fisnik Qosen, mayor.
But don't forget here, that I remember like today, February 20, when in Tirana the big battle was going to be fought to overturn the statue of Satan. Over 1500 men set out on foot to come to Tirana in battle and became the vanguard of that battle.
Today, every Kavaja, who liberated Kavaja, has a historical mission to fight for the liberation of Albania.
