Why was the salary increase "delayed"? Rama blames the MPs: They asked
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today from Bulqiza that the promise of salary increase had nothing to do with the local elections. Rama said that this draft law will pass this week, and while he blamed the deputies for its delay, who requested that to increase their salaries as well.

"The salary increase will be passed in the parliament this week and the reason why the law was stalled was because I told the government and the deputies to increase your last salary, but I did what I did with the ministers, when I went to the parliament, the deputies said we want it now that we are very tired and you have to understand", said Rama.

He clarified that although this draft law has been delayed in getting approval in the Assembly, the salary increase will come into effect in April. So in June, the salary increase for the months of April and May will be received.

"The important thing is that with the passage of salaries, the increased salaries will be received from last April 1, the only problem is that when the first salary is received, do not think that it is the month's salary, that it will be two salaries, that of April and May and this has nothing to do with the elections and the vote, but if we were to be like those who, because they remember that we are like them and accuse us that this was a game, we would not open this conversation, but they will take every penny", concluded Rama.
