On May 14, the map of Albania was "turned pink" and Prime Minister Edi Rama promised that he will work very hard so that this will not be the last time. From Bulqiza, the head of the government said that the map is of the unification of Albania and an indication that the country will move forward.
"I will ask that all those who are with us make every effort so that the electoral map, a map that is not divided, will not be like this for the last time, we must push this country and this society forward ", Rama said.
He had a special thank you, not only for those who voted for the socialists, but also for those who did not vote for them, and even more so for those who did not go to the polls.
According to the prime minister, who is also the chairman of the Socialist Party, the latter will play an important role in the return to normality of politics, currently without an opposition, according to him.
"I thank those who didn't cross the rainbow and didn't come out to vote, who didn't split the vote for a coalition that took the heaviest slap from the Albanians, but also to those who didn't vote. (...)I am convinced that this monumental and scandalous defeat of those who have taken Albania hostage is not the defeat of those who do not think like us, but of a handful of people. There is nothing worse, but if there will be worse, the day will come even sooner when political life will be normalized, and for this the main credit goes to those who do not vote", said Rama.
The Socialist Party won a deep 4-0 victory in the district of Dibra.
