The collapse of 2 swimming pools at the 'Prestige Resort' in Golem has sparked a media debate between the resort's owner, Irfan Hysenbelli, and the authorities.
The media of Mr. Hysenbelli have written that IKMT has illegally entered the facility since the documents for the construction of this resort are in accordance with the law and even the permission was signed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the capacity of the chairman of KKT.
But the reaction of the Ministry of the Interior was immediate, which published the permit documents and wrote on Facebook that these documents prove exactly the opposite.
The Ministry of the Interior writes that the permit is conditional, which states that it will be granted only after the technical-legal documentation is completed and the relevant taxes are paid, and none of them have been completed.
"The media claim of Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu that today's IKMT intervention is illegal since the resort has an approved permit is another manipulation of public opinion. The document released in the media in question with the signature of Prime Minister Edi Rama as chairman of the KKT proves the opposite of the claim. The permit is a conditional permit, where it is clearly stated that the construction permit document will be issued only after the technical-legal documentation is completed and the corresponding taxes are paid. None of the conditions have been met and today Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu owes the state and the citizens the return of the occupied surfaces as well as the financial debt from the non-payment of taxes ," the reaction says.
