Minister of Justice, Besfort Lamallari, was asked what position the majority will take on Belinda Balluku's immunity.
Besfort Lamallari said that the majority's position is clear regarding the case of the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to the Minister of Justice, the Special Court has exceeded its powers.
Question: What is the position that the majority will take on Balluk's immunity?
Lamallari: I believe that the majority's position has been clear. The Prime Minister has exercised his right to put the constitutional court in motion, the arguments have been presented there, where in essence lies the claim of one power, specifically the executive, to exceed the power of another power, namely the judicial power. Here we are also dealing with the legislative power that confirms the mandate of ministers, including me. The Constitution clearly states that ministers enjoy the immunity of deputies.
