Berisha: We will organize the most powerful protest!
Sali Berisha

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, told the media today that the opposition is preparing a second powerful protest, which has never been seen before, after the successful one of January 24, which was also welcomed by internationals.

The main cause, according to him, is the coup and scandalous act of Prime Minister Edi Rama to block the passage of the review of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku's file to Parliament and the removal of her immunity, which SPAK is seeking, due to corruption affairs.

As he summarized the meetings and speeches during his several-day stay at the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Commission in Strasbourg, he also announced the steps that will be followed politically.

"The denunciations are also an important appeal for them, I told the internationals and Europeans. During his stay in the parliament hall, Rama was denounced as the main author of the Balluku affair. The great threat that Rama poses to European countries by enabling his coordinator to transmit all security data and secrets to the enemies of our country and NATO countries. Shocking! I can tell you that for three days in the halls of the temple of democracy, the ghost of the head of the criminal organization Edi Rama was the most despicable!", he said.

The head of the blue headquarters underlined that internationals were introduced to Rama's authoritarian regime, as the only one based on drug cartels, while the prime minister's ghost was brought to the corridors of the EC Assembly for several days, where the Balluk affairs were also denounced, which the head of government is now politically defending.

"Rama's Albania is ranked there as one of the authoritarian dictatorships, but the only one based on drugs. Of course, in addition to group meetings, speeches, group discussions, we also had important meetings, with heads of Commissions, personalities, heads of the Parliamentary Assembly of the EC, meetings that found complete understanding," the opposition leader continued.

Berisha said that the echo of the January 24 protest was strong, but what is coming will be even greater, after Rama's latest scandal that blocked parliament in order not to lift Balluk's immunity.

"The echo of the protest was strong, a second protest is expected from our friends, as is expected from the Albanian opposition, and from internationals. We denounced Rama's coup act with which he blocked, for which he, in order to protect himself, blocked the Parliament and did not allow the review of the file (Balluku). Citizens will speak and Albanians will also recognize the most powerful protest they have ever known."
