The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is present at the commemorative ceremony of the 35th anniversary of the events of April 2, 1991, in honor of the four martyrs who fell in the last massacre of communism in the country.
In his speech, the chief democrat emphasized that he bows respectfully before the work of Arben Broci, Bujar Bishanaku, Nazmir Kryeziu and Besnik Ceka, who were killed in the protest 35 years ago against the Communist Party.
Berisha added that they "fell in the square to remain forever alive in our hearts, to always be honored by those who honor the free vote and freedom."
"35 years ago, just two days after the end of the electoral farce, Shkodra high school students interrupted their lessons and sat on their bags in one of the most civilized, most peaceful forms of protest. They protested in deep despair because the last communist dictator in Europe, his party and the pluralistic elections after almost half a century, turned them into an electoral farce. Their disappointment was extraordinary and so was their anger and despair. So they went out in protest, sat in front of the palace of crime, sat in front of the headquarters of the party of crime and numerous volleys of Kalashnikovs and machine guns were fired at them. They fell in this square to remain forever alive in our hearts, to be always honored by those who honor the free vote and freedom." , Berisha said.
Berisha also focused on the current situation in the country, describing Prime Minister Edi Rama as the successor to the "Hoxha blockheads", who, according to him, have used power to rob Albanians and turn the vote into an electoral farce.
He emphasized that the mission of the DP, today more than ever, is the return of free voting, emphasizing that in Shkodra this mission must be fulfilled better than any other city in Albania.
"Edi Rama, who in the darkest example of his fathers, has concentrated all power in his hands. He uses power to enrich himself, to legitimize the theft and plunder of Albanians and transform the vote into an ugly farce. In this context, never more than today, is the sacrifice of the martyrs of April 2, of the free vote, more relevant, more inspiring, and we are also sworn in. The DP is sworn in that its main mission is the return of the free vote of Albanians. I have great confidence that Shkodra will fulfill this mission more than any other city. The successor of the Hoxha blockmen in one direction of the nation's existence, has caused the Albanian nation the greatest disaster since the 1300s, the years of the Black Death. No invader, no regime has implemented in a more savage way the doctrine of Çubrillovic, which today has been surpassed several times by "Ramović and deserves to be called the doctrine of Ramović, of the Belgrade laborer," he said.
