Socialist MP Erion Braçe said that the US embassy's announcement is an issue that should be addressed in parliamentary committees and that panic should not be spread.

Braçe also brought to attention the interpellation requested in February with the Minister of Agriculture, who is not present this time due to an engagement in Kosovo.

Braçe: Whoever makes a statement in this hall should also think about the economy. The panic that spreads in such cases hits the economy. Their work and the income of Albanians. There must be accountability in this hall, these must be discussed in committees, with open and closed doors. And there, in order not to cause panic with consequences on the Albanian economy, or with tourism. I have been asking for an interpellation with the Minister of Agriculture since February. Three weeks ago I accepted the argument that the minister is in Brussels, also because of the commitments he has in the EU. Today they tell me that the minister is in Kosovo. But I do not think that this is a reason. At these moments, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense can move, but the Minister of Agriculture must be here, responsible for the country. It should not be left off the agenda as a minister asks. This should not happen again. It took me 6 weeks to get information, now it takes me 6 weeks to talk to the minister.
