The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policies, Josep Borrell, today held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The vice president of the European Commission announced that the focus of the conversation with the head of the government was the cyber attacks that affected the country a few days ago. Borrell says that these attacks are a threat to the integrity and security of Albania. He adds that attempts to undermine democratic institutions and societies are unacceptable.

"The EU will stand by Albania in increasing cyber defense," the EU official emphasizes.
