After the conclusion of the Democratic Party's negotiation meeting with the Opportunity Party, democrat Belind Këlliçi held a press statement, providing details from the discussions.

According to him, the meeting was positive, even productive, despite the DP's differences with the Opportunity Party.

Këlliçi explained that it is good news that all parties have a consensus to come up with a common candidate to face the socialist Ogerta Manastirliu.

"It was a very positive and productive meeting because we agreed on the fact that we need to find a candidacy that should unify the entire opposition spectrum. This is very good news for all citizens of Tirana, that all political parties, opposition or not, all political forces, have a kind of consensus to come up with a name that can face Ogerta Manastirliu, the candidate who symbolizes Covid and death in the capital and the entire country, and defeat her."

So having said that, this is good news, there is agreement in principle to find such a name.

"Then, for technicalities, for proposals, it is true, we discussed specific names. Since it remains the subject of the discussion and negotiations table, I do not intend to come up with specific names today," he said.
