The socialists gathered at the pink headquarters on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Socialist Party. The party has brought together young socialists but also figures such as Et'hem Ruka, Gramoz Ruçi or Arta Dade.
Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech, emphasizing the most important objective of the fourth governing term, which he said is membership in the European Union within this decade.
"We don't get tired of charging ourselves with responsibility and seeing what needs to be done better. And of course, many things need to be done better, when this mandate is tied to an extraordinary confidence to lead Albania in the EU within this decade. There is no stronger reason than this objective. It is an objective that is both achievable and extremely difficult to achieve. It is an objective that is as close as it is related to what we need to improve and what needs to be fulfilled", said Rama.
The Socialist Party was founded on June 12, 1991, while its first chairman was elected Fatos Nano who led it until 2005, to then leave the baton to Edi Rama who has been at the head of this political force for 2 decades now.
