During the joint conference with President Bajram Begaj, the President of Kosovo thanked our country and said that Albania has been the voice of Kosovo, where there is no representation.

She also said that the time has come for Albania and Kosovo to sign a treaty so that the two states can react to common defense.

"I congratulate Albania on the achievements on the road to the EU. We in Kosovo are happy with the achievements of Albania. Albania has given support to Kosovo in all periods, meanwhile you have been our voice where we are not represented

We will further intensify relations in all areas. Our strategic objective remains EU and NATO membership, therefore we will apply for EU status by the end of this year. The fact that Albania is a member of neto is the greatest security for us. Security has become a priority. We are coordinating with our strategic partners so that the region feels safe

As far as the cooperation between the two parties is concerned, it is more important to have a mutual defense treaty with Albania so that we can react to the defense of our two countries, it is in harmony with international practices, so it is time to take the right steps in this direction. I have been doing such a practice for several years. Preparations are being made to implement the agreements and equal treatment without discrimination. We expect the EU to be more vocal. We expect clear signals from the EU to be given in relation to Serbia that it should stop these actions that affect security in the region," said Osmani.
