The candidate of the Democratic Party for the Municipality of Ballsh, Agron Kapllanaj, has denounced through his Facebook account that pressure is being put on voters in the city, even mentioning weapons.

Some people threatened Kapllanaj's brother with a gun in the late hours of yesterday evening, while the candidate's reaction was immediate.

"The anger of all the directors, the terror and the pressure that is being targeted by those who are feeling the loss, does not scare the Malkastrians. Throughout the day, the city was filled with unknown, armed persons who tried to put pressure on the citizens.

Elements misused by the majority such as Aranit Dautaj, or the son of the administrator of the Fratar Administrative Unit, all the time provoke the supporters and representatives of the Democratic Party, provoking incidents ", writes Kapllanaj.

"We are determined for an election process with standards. We will refer any incident, any attempt at pressure or intimidation to the police and judicial bodies. We will refer every individual by name and surname, who by political order is brought around the city with a gun in his belt, to blackmail or provoke situations ", he adds.

Kapllanaj called on the State Police to maintain independence and act professionally to guarantee a smooth election process.

" The loss has blinded and confused them. They should know that Malakastriots are neither afraid, nor bought, nor sold ", said Kapllanaj.

Kapllanaj, who ran this municipality in the years 2015-2019, competes against Qerim Ismailaj from the Socialist Party and Resmi Shanaj from the "Together We Win" coalition.
