The 2023 budget vote was accompanied by an incident before the start of voting in the plenary session.
Edi Rama's entrance into the Parliament hall was accompanied by a verbal clash with the opposition MPs, Edi Paloka and Bujar Leskaj.
The two democratic MPs have reminded Rama that I can't speak with the language of the opposition MPs in the same way as he did the day before when he considered them "fakes", "sluts", "insolent" etc.
After this incident, the democratic deputy Edi Paloka declared for ABC that he was not at all drunk as the socialists declare, but he wanted to bring the honor of the democratic deputies to the country.
"We were absolutely not drunk. But we were revolted absolutely yes. I was not at the session on Wednesday, when Edi Rama used a thug's language in Parliament, towards my parliamentary colleagues. Today when he entered the voting session, I just took the opportunity to remind him who he was and who he is. Perhaps of those MPs who are in the Parliament, I know Edi Rama a little better since he was young and I cannot allow myself and the Democrats to insult us by a man like him. It is the least I can do for the democrats to bring their honor and dignity to the country", says Paloka.
Asked about the initiative of the socialists to expel him together with Bujar Leskajn from the Parliament for 10 days, Paloka clarified: "Edi Rama should have been expelled for the vulgar language he used the day before. They are insults that all Albanians have seen and heard. On the screen. Live. The socialists should see this", Paloka emphasizes.
