An Italian in charge of the OSCE Presence in Albania
Guido De Sanctis

Today, Ambassador Guido De Sanctis began his duties as the head of the OSCE Presence in Albania.

Ambassador De Sanctis is a career diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.

Before being appointed the head of the OSCE in Albania, he was deputy ambassador at the Italian Embassy in Moscow. From 2013 to 2017, he served as Italy's ambassador to Qatar and from 2011 to 2013, as Italy's consul general in Benghazi, Libya.

Also, he has served in the Italian embassies in Tripoli, Bern and Kiev.

"I am happy to join the Presence in Albania and take forward the excellent relations between the Presence and the host country", said Ambassador De Sanctis.
