Albania will be the voice of Albanians in the Presheva Valley not only for the protection of their rights but also for economic development. This is the commitment of Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a letter to Ardita Sinani, the mayor of the Municipality of Presheva.

"I want to assure you that our cooperation will continue to grow and strengthen, as an expression of the attention and care of the Albanian Government towards the Albanians in the Presheva Valley and its sustained commitment to the protection and advancement of their rights, as well as to the growth and strengthening of the economic development and living standards of the Albanians in the Valley," said Rama.

This letter, made public by Sinani this Thursday, comes after the latter congratulated Edi Rama on the result that the Socialists obtained in the elections. The Mayor of Presheva, once a former advisor to Albin Kurti, considered the contribution of the head of the Albanian government to the Valley a source of hope and stability.

Sinani also asked Rama to return to Presheva as he appreciated the fact that Albania was a strong voice against the passivation of addresses. 

But while Kurti's former advisor was among the first in the region to send a congratulatory message to Rama, there has been no official reaction from Pristina yet. Moreover, messages have not been lacking from the most important European leaders, who also from Tirana, reconfirmed their support for Albania.
