The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was asked today by a News 24 journalist whether the DP will accept in September the 50 mandates it received in the May 11 elections.

While avoiding the question, Berisha said that all decisions regarding mandates will be made in the future.

He also emphasized that the DP does not accept the May 11 elections.

Question: In September, will the DP accept the 50 mandates it received by going to the Albanian Parliament?

Berisha:  All decisions will be made in the future, but we cannot accept the elections, because we cannot accept such elections.

We can never accept such choices and no one can force us to accept these choices.

But elections are a national and international process. It is an international process because the principles of free elections are sanctioned in a series of documents, which have been signed by Albania, among which is the Copenhagen document.
