In a press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi provided details on the progress of the May 11 parliamentary elections.

Celibashi described the administration of the process by the CEC as a model with full standards and integrity.

"There are no added ballots, nor trafficked votes. It remains to assess the claims related to the extent to which the integrity of citizens' votes was respected in the process of receiving the envelopes and returning them through postal returns," said Celibashi.

Regarding the denunciation of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, about the "Bulgarian train" in Elbasan, Celibashi said that this case should be investigated by criminal prosecution bodies.

"We have not been informed, but what I can say without hesitation is that the case should be investigated by criminal prosecution bodies, to respond to the concern raised publicly."

"For the internal voting, to my knowledge there are no disputes regarding the content of the summary tables of results ," said Celibashi.
