Democratic MP Gazment Bardhi demands a full investigation of the scandal reported a few days ago, for the theft of TIMS system data.

Regarding this matter, the representative of the US Embassy in Tirana met the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, today.

Bardhi says that he supports the full investigation into this scandal, which has also worried the USA.

Earlier, the intervention in the TIMS system, by a senior official, was denounced in the media, with the suspicion that he copied the entire database with all the sensitive data.

Gazment Bardhi's full response:

The concern of the USA regarding the reported intrusions into TIMS systems in the State Police deserves special attention from the DP Parliamentary Group.

This scandal, denounced a few days ago by fellow MPs, which affects the personal/sensitive data of Albanian citizens and foreign citizens, requires a full and comprehensive investigation and should be one of the priorities of the work of the Parliamentary Group in the new session. .

Thanking the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Tirana, Mr. H. Martin McDowell for the attention to this issue, I want to assure every Albanian and foreign citizen, that the DP Parliamentary Group supports the full investigation of this scandal and will undertake every parliamentary initiative for its full disclosure.
