After the European Union closed its doors to us for the opening of negotiations, in Tirana the discussions have resumed whether the fault lies with the EU, ie Bulgaria's veto on Northern Macedonia, or with politics.
Recently, a reaction came from these discussions from the former chairman of the Democratic Party, who has been living in the US for years, Eduard Selami.
In a post on social networks, Selami says that it is not the EU that is the problem, but those who blame it, remembering corruption and incompetence. He refers to political elites, making no exceptions for both right-wing and left-wing leaders.
"Albanians must look to the failure of EU membership to tolerate an incompetent and corrupt elite for decades ," Selami wrote.
