The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, gave a statement to the media from the blue headquarters, where he held a meeting of about an hour with Sali Berisha.
He stated that the theft of the free vote in this electoral process will not only be documented, but will be pursued legally.
" Every minute, new shocking facts come and document how the mafia under the command of Edi Rama destroyed the election process, the standards of which were set to zero by him before it started.
All this destruction of the electoral process, the alienation of the free vote, is not only being documented but at the same time the process of legal contestation will start and the opposition action will escalate in the name of the free vote and at the same time you know very well that despite this alienation at the behest of Edi Rama, under the protection of the State Police in many regions of the country, he did it, one thing is clear ."
Meta emphasized that the opposition will undertake urgent actions in the municipal councils to prevent the theft of Albanian taxes by the newly elected mayors.
"The donkeys that Edi Rama imposed on Albanian citizens for mayors will no longer steal. The opposition escalation in the municipal councils will start immediately. There is no comparison between the one who gave the local government to Edi Rama at the table for 4 years with the efforts to restore political pluralism and you must be clear that there is no surrender or capitulation to the state mafia, the narco-state. We will fight not only on behalf of over 500 thousand Albanians who voted under pressure, but also on behalf of several hundred thousand who were intimidated, you will see all the facts. They have been denounced before, during and continuously."
Asked about any possible protest by the opposition, Meta said that first the accusations about the false results of May 14 will be verified.
"First is the documentation of the election massacre, and then the preparation to start the battle of transparency in all municipal councils. Gomers will no longer have the opportunity to quietly steal citizens' taxes."
