European Union Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos said that Albania's speed in opening group chapters for European integration is impressive.

She emphasized that this has come as a result of the great work of the Albanian authorities over the years.

"This result is the result of the great work of the Albanian authorities who have pushed forward reforms, especially during this year, despite the fact that there have been elections. Your country is showing that it can be done. Albania is showing that positive change is possible and the EU rewards this change," said Marta Kos.

The Commissioner announced that there is only one chapter group left to open, but she believes that this will be achieved within this year.
