Italian Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni, was part of the meeting in Abu Dhabi where a trilateral Albania-Italy-United Arab Emirates agreement for the production of green energy was signed.
In her speech, she stated that the energy will be produced in Albania and part will be exported to Italy through an underwater line.
According to Meloni, this agreement is a concrete step towards a global connection capable of supplying energy in a two-way manner.
" It is an infrastructure that we aim to make more efficient and more competitive. I am beyond happy, as Edi announced, to sign the strategic partnership to launch an ambitious project between the two shores of the Adriatic."
It is an important commitment to produce green energy in Albania and to export part of it to Italy through an underwater cable.
I am proud of this initiative because it tangibly demonstrates forms of cooperation.
It is a concrete step towards a global connection capable of supplying energy in a two-way manner.
"We know that we live in a complex era marked by strong transformations. We have a choice to make, we can either suffer from these transformations or we can question them as opportunities. We must choose the second and pursue it with courage without any fear ," said Meloni.
