The start of the 'Giro d'Italia' sporting event from Albania, for the first time in history, is, for Prime Minister Rama, proof of a reborn Albania.

Responding to Facebook commentators who criticize that our country does not have the capacity to organize such a major sporting event, the head of government states that the organizers have not only come here themselves to see the roads, but have given positive assessments of all conditions, both infrastructure and security.

" Congratulations on the initiative and promotion, but there is still no way for Albania. We only hear the tears of the forehead, and we see no way ," writes Auel Cepele to Prime Minister Rama.

"Dear Aurel, you say that Albania has no roads for the Giro d'Italia, because we only hear Balluk's tears, you say, but we see no roads. Meanwhile, the business owners who organize the tour do not listen to Balluk at all, and I have the impression that they do not even know who he is, but when they came to Albania to see the conditions themselves, they not only saw the roads but also made a very positive assessment of all the conditions, infrastructure, hotels, security, cleanliness and professional teams in every municipality, these are their words, not mine," Rama replies.

The Prime Minister says that organizing this event in Albania, until a few years ago, was a pipe dream, but today it has become a reality.

"Now what can I say, strange times have come for some of us, my Albanian brother. Until yesterday, we were up to our necks and we were angry with foreigners who wouldn't even look at us, while today we don't see the changes they are making and we are surprised by the millions of foreigners who come to this country, where there are no roads, where there is no light, no water, no bread, and where people are killed every day street by street. I don't really know what to say about the roads that you hear about, but you don't see them, and you even hear about them in the plural and you don't see them in the plural. Because as the people say, the eye doesn't see, but the mind sees. There is no blind person more blind than the one who won't see. I can say that Albania's inclusion in the Giro d'Italia is the certificate of a reborn Albania, which from a source of prejudice and contempt for Albanians, anywhere and anytime in the world, has become a source of appreciation and respect for all of us, for Albania and for every Albanian. To think that until a few years ago, the Giro d'Italia in Albania was like a daydream, but blessed is he who has the ambition, courage, and will to fight for dreams with open eyes to become reality. Today, that daydream with open eyes is a reality, because I dream, fight, and win thanks to a great popular force called the Socialist Party, without which no dream can become reality for the Albania we want for our children," Rama continues.
